The Sorkinverse expands

The best news I've had since INFINITE CRISIS #1 came out.

Is it too much to pray for cameos by Dan Rydell and Casey McCall? WHAT IF NATALIE WORKS FOR THE SHOW! I'm totally geeking out...

I know I'm going to come back to this post later today and cringe.

  1. I just yelled "Sorkin's getting a new series" down the hall, and something like five undergrads came ZOOMING INTO MY ROOM making really unfortunate screeching noises at the monitor. We thank you. Well, they thank you. I'll thank you once they get out of my room.

And NONE OF THEM have seen Sports Night. The philistines.

  2. If only everyone were as enlightened as you and I. SPORTS NIGHT should be taught in schools. I don't know how you teach a television series, but it could be done, dammit.

As for INFINITE CRISIS #1...wow. I was worried that I might be underwhelmed, given that it is the first issue of the series, but...wow. Expectations: met. The Superman/Batman/Wonder Woman slapfight was AMAZINGLY good. Johns's dialogue can be clunky sometimes, but I didn't get that feeling at all when those three were going at it. The Mongul appearance immediately made me think of "For The Man Who Has Everything," which is easily one of my favorite stories ever, so it had that going for it. And the end, while not entirely shocking, was still awesome to see.

Still a lot of unanswered questions, but, after two years of build-up, I have faith in the kids at DC.
